Meet Hannah Pingree, former Main Speaker of the House and #6 finalist for the Healthy Child Healthy World’s “Mom on a Mission” Competition (and honorary KI Star Steward!). Hannah has successfully convinced state legislators to regulate and ban toxic chemicals in consumer products. Of the nearly 80,000 known toxins ubiquitous in consumer goods, only 200 have been tested and regulated. This is absolutely horrific (Halloween-caliber) if you consider the deadly effects of toxins in children, and how frequently children put toys and plastic into their mouths.
